Chikankari
Chikankari has been part of Lucknow for more than two centuries, though its origins are believed to reach further back through the Mughal courts. Over time, it became inseparable from the city itself, evolving into one of the most refined forms of hand embroidery in the world.

Traditionally associated with traditional and occasion wear, we were drawn to something else within it - its softness and quiet confidence.
A craft that asks for patience, but never asks for attention.
That became our starting point.
Clothing
We weren’t interested in reproducing tradition.
We were interested in what Chikankari could become in a different context.
So the embroidery becomes quieter. Silhouettes become easier. Familiar techniques move into shirts, jackets and pieces made for everyday life.
Made slowly and in limited quantities, while keeping the hand of the maker visible.
